Why the digital product passport is so important

As soon as companies want to exchange data with each other, this is often still done via email, Excel spreadsheets or phone calls. The use of a digital product passport makes it easier for companies along the entire value chain to exchange relevant data – such as the current operating status of a machine, upcoming repair requirements or the complete machine history. Damage can thus be rectified more quickly and in a more targeted manner. And, incidentally, CO₂ is also saved – a welcome side effect in times of increasing sustainability requirements.
